We are planning the Parade of Scottish Dogs to be held Saturday, April 4, 2009. We need your help in finding the dog breeds listed below. If you have one of them or know someone that does, please contact:

We would like to have some dogs from each breed take part in our Parade of Scottish Dogs. If you have one of these breeds, please bring them with you and take part in the Opening Ceremonies at 10:00 am on Saturday and our Parade of Scottish Dogs at 11:30 am Saturday at the Guinness stage.
Each person that brings Scottish dog to the parade will receive one free admission for each furry Scot they bring with them.

There are 14 Scottish Dog Breeds broken into 3 categories:

Terriers

Border Terrier
Cairn Terrier
Dandie Dinmont Terrier
Scottish Terrier
Skye Terrier
West Highland Terrier

Herding Dogs

Bearded Collies
Border Collies
Rough Collies
Smooth Collies
Shetland Sheep Dog

Gun or Sporting Dogs

Golden Retriever
Gordon Setter
Scottish Deerhound

Any assistance you can give us will be appreciated. We have an area set aside for the owners and dog clubs to use after the parade as well as on Sunday, April 5. There, people can enjoy visiting with the owners and their furry companions and learn more about the unique qualities and special talents of each breed. Several breed clubs and rescue organizations will be present to discuss the work they do with dogs. If you know of a dog group or organization that would be interested in being present, please have them contact me.
